Planting & Care
1. Planting: Choose a location with well-drained soil and plenty of sunlight (a minimum of 4 hours of sunlight per day). Dig a hole that’s three times as wide and equal in depth as the root ball. Remove your plant from its original container, position into the hole ensuring that it’s standing upright, and the top of the root ball is even with the ground.
Begin backfilling the hole, tamping down lightly as you go. Once the hole has been completely filled, water to allow the soil to settle and eliminate any air pockets.
2. Watering: We recommend watering these plants in the morning, at the base. If you’re not sure when to water, simply check the top 2 inches of soil for dryness.
3. Fertilizing: Apply a slow-release fertilizer once a year in early spring, before new growth emerges.
4. Pruning: Any broken branches can be pruned back in spring before new growth begins.

When they arrived they were very dry, I put a slow drip on them for about an hour until they were soaked and planted them 2 days later in a part shade/sunny spot in the front of my home and they love the spot because they are happy and thriving. I have a soaker house on them and was watering them twice a week but with all the rain I haven't had to. I dug in some Jack's 20-20-20 fertilizer around the soil so they aren't hungry at all. I'm repeatedly asked what are they because they look nothing like anyone has ever seen before and I love it. I have 3 in a row up against my royal blue home with white trim. In a year or two they will be show stoppers.

We bought these in the early days of Covid. They were maybe two feet tall when we planted them. Now three years later they are at least twelve feet tall and about ten feet wide. They filled in the corner of the yard and provide privacy too. Love these!
